I think the major thing to improve your work would be a more solid line structure to start with, assuming you sketch it out first? If not, just draw the subject in pencil a bit prior to painting. The reason I say this is because some of your shapes tend to droop out of perspective (see the face of the woman at the beach especially), your rendering skills are good enough, just some precision would help out.

What i think your works need are more contrast. Your portraits and your other works i have seen on here seem very flat.They need to pop out more give them more depth .With your portraits try one strong light souce and get away from the light to mid tone backgrounds as they seem to be fighting with your skin tones. keep up the good work.
