Hi Everyone
I just found this website and have been reading some of the messages. What a terrific idea!!
I have rediscovered the artist within several years ago. Attending our local TAFE and recently met a wonderful printmaker from Queensland and have discovered I love this medium, whether it is etching, collographs, solar plates or perspex. I am not set up at home to do etchings i.e. with all the acids etc. but find solar plates and perspex really safe and easy to use. I will be having my first exhibition this year, its still several months away but already I'm nervous! I live in the North West of WA and find it difficult obtaining supplies - the only place I know is neil's estore in Melbourne. The cost of the freight from Melbourne to the NW - especially with the weight of paper is very expensive. So if anybody knows of a store in Perth I would be grateful to hear from you.
Cheers Napier
PS when I learn to put photos on the site I'll be brave and show some of my work!! |

Napier are you still in the North West? How did you go with WA suppliers, particularly for the solar plate etc? Have just bought my first press and am back into printmaking after a big break, and am just about to do materials/supplier research so would be happy to share info once I have more |
