Can anyone suggest a good wide format printer?

I was wondering if anyone can suggest a good wide format printer which can cater to canvas printing and printing on 300 gsm water colour paper. I am after a printer that can print up to 61 cm x 77 cm. I have found that there are printers raning from $2000 to $20 000 which has got me all confused. Any tips to look out for on a good wide format printer. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Do you want to buy the printer or have custom prints made for you ?

There are so many print shops setting up now the market is very cut throat and prices are really cheap for custom printing.

I cannot see the value in investing in a very expensive printing machine unless you are going to produce a huge volume of prints.

I would be looking at finding a reliable printer and sending the work to them.

After the cost of the printer the main cost is good quality ink and rolls of paper. The cost of them is very expensive and the profit margins are pretty low.

PS you could contact repossession sales and auction houses for second hand printers.

A lot of the print shops go bankrupt after 12 months there is so much competition Sad
