I found a wonderful little second hand bookshop tucked away in Wollongong with a treasure trove of art books - think I'll be frequenting often. It was very hard to choose, but I picked up a copy of Judy Cassab's Diaries which is fantastic. What an amazing woman & what an interesting life! Can't put it down.
Whats everyone else reading at present? |

I've just finished Studio:Australian Painhters on the Nature of Creativity which was fantastic!
I am also embarassed to admit that I also have 5 books beside my bed that I have been switching between for the last 12 months or so depending on what I feel like. I might finish one of them one day!...Maybe...
Representing Women by Linda Nochlin
Sight Lines:Women's Art and Feminist Perspectives in Australia by Sandy Kirby
Fabric of Vision Dress and Drapery in Painting by Anne Hollander
Burlesque and the Art of Teese by Dita Von Teese
and Mary Pratt: A Personal Calligraphy
Oh and of course Thomas the Tank Engine...Bananas in Pyjamas...Spot...

My life has always been full of half read books too
Like Erika, the only ones that get finished in less than year are, yes, Thomas the Tank Engine...etc etc
I'm always reading local history, photography and art books, but this is mostly just browsing stuff I've already read rather than reading something new.
The only new book I'm reading at the moment is 'People in Glass Houses' by Tanya Levin. |
