My "studio" is about a 1-2m square area in my living room. Sad Its not very good to be productive with so many distractions. I really hate it. I have no space and no storage. Everytime I do something I have to pack up when I left the house because im in the living room and spread out onto the kitchen bench. Plus we have a cat, and there have been a few times paw prints have walked through the work and onto my lounge room floor (than god thats tiled).

So here is a picture of the clutter when In working in my "space"...

So people show us your studio so we can all be enevious of those who have that dream studio space

I know it has already come up in another post but I just got hold of the book STUDIO and it is absolutely fantastic! I have pawed over it for the last couple of days and have so enjoyed looking at other artists studios and reading about their practice. It is heartening to know the struggles other artists go through. Makes me feel kind of normal!

I will try and get a chance to post my studio soon.

I now have one, did a quick bump in and started painting, but I have a little time now to get it better organised, so I'll try and get some "as is" pics tonight.

Smile

Just got hold of my own copy of "Studio" and just had a quick look ... great first impression ... can't wait to have read the last page in it.

I'm using one of the two smaller bedrooms as my studio but it's too small now ... so next week I'm moving into the other smaller bedroom as well.

Very Happy

Cool Simon, looks great Cool - you wont know yourself with all that space. What do you use to attach your car paintings on boards flat to the wall?

At the monent the whole front of my house has been pulled apart, BUT... at some stage, in the future, no idea when, half of this space will be my studio.

HAHA nails! Not through the pic, two below and one at an angle on the side. Looking for a better solution too. .....Anyone? but it works.

I took this pic to show, because I am after a better solution, but it's got to be easy quick and temporary, not shelves or anything. Not sure there is a better way?
