Introducing me - Jill - and also letting people know that if they come to Port Douglas on holidays it may be possible to take in a class or two with Arthouse Port Douglas - and to meet like-minded, friendly locals!

I am currently building a website about the art of this region so please have a look and also check out the art classes - Sept and Oct classes are listed if you follow the links. You may enquire or enrol online - we'd love to hear from you!

Thanks, Ginny and Kim.

I love the hammock image! If you like Tania's work, watch out for newer paintings on my site. When I can work out how to do it, I shall start putting up "gallery" pages. Tania did a gorgeous little diptych for the Postcard Show, which is on at present at Cairns Regional Gallery.

Yes, holidays seem to be what Port Douglas is all about!

Thank you both for making me feel welcome.

Jill

Hi Jill,

Such a colourful website - love the tropical imagery and the different styles of your featured artists. Makes me feel optimistic about life! Hope to get up there next year and see for myself. Shows you don't have to live in the big smoke to be successful.

cheers,
Annee

Thanks, Annee. You've cheered me up, too!

If you like what I have done so far with the site, keep an eye on it. I want to make it more interactive somehow so if you want to see anything in particular on it about art of the region, just let me know! eg there will be a section on exhibitions as well as a newsletter - all in the fullness of time!

Your little image is a happy one so I think that you must be an optimistic person, anyway!
