So, how much did you end up getting it for? I had to buy one and ended up getting it from Amazon toady. With P&P it ended up at about $55 Aus so thats not to bad. Now I just have to wait.
And I agree that his work is alot like Hoppers. Very cool. _________________ web:www.bretthayesart.com |

haha thats good.
Well the last books I bought were: Jenny Saville, Shawn Barber and Odd Nerdrum. They are all fantastic! Also, I though about Jason Benjamins book but decided against it.
The next book I really want to get is Andrew Giffords book. He is an amazing UK artist who I met last year at his sell out show. (btw: the paintings were min 5000pounds to 12000pounds). He was really nice and gave me a dvd of him working in London and France (its really cool). Only prob is you can only buy the book from a supplier in London and by the time I pay p&h it will cost $150! Its def worth it tho....
Check out his work at: http://www.jmlondon.com/pages/artistexhibitions/15860.html

Have you got the Hopper book? Also lots of big colour images.
Even though Rick Amor's book has too many black and white images I still think its worth getting; it's a good read and it does have colour images of two of my favorites, "Escort" and "Sister Patricia" |

Hey Tango.
Thanks for the link and info!
I would jump at the chance to get the book but when I hit the link it says that the search didnt bring up any products?
Maybe they sold out?!
I might email them and see if I can order a copy. I'll let you know how it goes.
Let me know what you think of the book when you get it. I'm sure it will be awesome. _________________ web:www.bretthayesart.com |

You are dead right Redsy , when I put my order in yesterday they sent me a memo back to say their supplier had made a mistake and that he didn't have any stock on hand and that they have put another order in but it could take another six weeks if they get it at all ' ' I new it looked to good to be true,,,, but I'm going to persevere to see what happens ????? |

Hey Redsy, I met Rick Amor at the opening of his exhibition at Niagara last night; what a nice guy.
The exhibition was amazing - definitely worth a look for anyone who can get there.
Redsy while I was there I bought a copy of "Rick Amor: Standing in the Shadows" It's $40 in soft cover, or $80 hardback and choc-a-block full of half-page colour pics - you'd love it Redsy, worth every cent. |
