Dear Visitor!
Welcome to www.artforum.com.au enjoy....
I have produced Art Forum.com.au in the hope that it will allow all those involved in The Australian Art Industry and opportunity to interact and share their views with each other and support each other.
This is your space, its free to use but does have a few posting rules!
GENERAL RULES FOR EVERYONE:
01Don't sign up using a business name as your user name please, use a personal user name.
02Dont place images in your signature please.
03Dont link to your website from anywhere in the forum, unless you are supporting the forum or one of our other website by linking to artforum.com.au or art-search.com.au or artexhibitionguide.com.au or arteducation.com.au from your website. See our: Links
04Dont place business logos as your avatar or in your signature please.
05Only link to sites in your signature that relate directly to your personal art making (If you are a business see rule: 08 )
06Don't swear in the posts please.
07Don't manually insert a URL or signature at the bottom of every post please.
08Don't link to, or promote your business in Art Forum unless you have a valid (3) or a (4) listing in ART-search.com Organisations are welcome to promote themselves for free, with-in reason, but please fulfill rule: 03 first.
09Businesses if you want to announce an event or promote your business with-in reason, please first submit a valid (3) or a (4) listing in ART-search.com you will also obtain FAR BETTER better promotion that way too as the forum is geared to help the (3) & (4) listing owners!
10Don’t post links that aim to siphon visitors elsewhere to then click on your ads or similar.
11Please don't discuss, Politics, Terrorism and/or Racism - just dont need to hear anymore of it here thanks.
12Be active in the forum, please reply to posts and support each other and help grow the industry we all love!
FOR ARTISTS:
I want to keep art forum free for you to do as you please, self promote yourself with-in reason, I think many of you need an open forum and it should help Australian art in general. I want to help us all. Please try and support the forum for us all, tell your friends via email, link to the forum from your website, mention the forum in society newsletters, and at art schools …or just click the text & image advertising that interests you and it will help pay our bills to host & market the forum.
FOR BUSINESSES:
This forum is primarily for personal use. Please do not promote your business products or services, unless: you have a valid (3) or a (4) listing in ART-search.com. By doing this you will also gain several advantages when using the forum, (a) You can link to your business in your signature. (b) Your signature shows ALL the time, not just to logged in members, meaning more people see and click on your website link and ART-search listing link and search engines can spider these and attribute link popularity & page rank to your website.
Please note: The spirit of the forum is to contribute, help people, ask questions, meet others etc, not to post promotion notices as advertising. So even if you have a valid (3) or a (4) listing, please still contribute and participate, dotn just use the forum for your own gain as members tend not to respond favourably to that.
EVERYONE:
Please play nice, let people have their say and show some empathy if you happen to not agree, no flaming, be polite and respect other people.
If you do the wrong thing; depending on the degree unfortunately one of our staff here may do 1 or more of the following; edit your post, edit your profile, implement restrictions on your membership, ban you from the forum, downgrade your listing with ART-search, delete your listing from ART-search and/or ban you from ART-search too.
