Hi! I am setting up a life drawing group, at the Summer Hill Community Centre. I am looking for reliable life drawing models to pose on Tuesday Nights from 6.30 pm til 8 pm, if you are interested in modeling or know of a model network, any asistance would be great.
Details:

Affordable life drawing classes open for everyone from complete beginner to advanced artists needing practice.

Please join us every Tuesday at the Summer Hill Community Centre from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. This, not for profit, life drawing group meetings cost $5, to cover the room rental, model fees and public liability insurance. If there is any surplus in funds it will be put towards the purchase of art supplies and easels.

Term 1; starting on Tuesday the 31st of January, finishing on the 4th of April

About the facilitator;
Kirsty Collins is an artist, designer and mother. She has a BFA from COFA (1992) and MVA from SCA (2003). She is running this group to create an active and supportive network of art lovers, creative types and practicing artists.

So is it tuition, and/or do your own thing? I go to a group Monday nights already, but this could be good occassionally, 6.30 a little early, but also would suit a friend from Newtown who's been looking for a group like this. Will it be a turn up and pay affair, or pay a term in advance?

It will be a turn up and pay $5 for this first term and I'll see how it goes. Next term might be different.

Cheers KC

Hi Kirsty,

Do you have a hotmail address?

There are many regular models that read this forum.

Hi Kirsty,
I was just doing a search to find out where i could get some info on modeling for art classes. I have never done it before, I am very interested. I am 40 years old and very curvy. If you are interested, i would like to speak to you. If not, do you know anyone else who might be.

Thanks Kelley

Hi Kelly, Tony and everyone,
I'm sorry I don't have a hotmail address but I can be contacted on kirsty@freshmedia.com.au

I am interested in all kinds of models. If you give me your email address I can contact you and answer any questions you have. I also need to know what models fees are as I am currently running a 'not-for-profit' group but I don't want models to undercharge for their time.

Cheers Kirsty.
P.S. Hi, Tony are there any model (contact) lists on the internet?

Hi Kirsty,

The standard model fee is $20-25 per hour.
Is that affordable?
There are no comprehensive contact lists for models, but this forum ranks high and I am sure you will get lots of contacts. I will contact you via your email and give you a few contacts.
Regards,
Tony

Hi KC,

I still solved same problem with models, i canīt found anybody who wanted to stay for me. Iīm student at art scholl in Prague and I canīt find them. I found very good websites where are lots of poses and it is useful for me. Maybe they help you too: www.female-anatomy-for-artist.com and www.human-anatomy-for-artist.com I use them with my schoolmates and it is more cheaper them models for us Laughing
