You could screen print onto perspex, dont know how well the paint woudl adhere through, and unprotected it would scratch off I'd think.
I dont know if this would work, but you can print on clear acetate sheets from a laser printer computer.
Hopefully another forum member will be able to help you

I tried printing onto perspex a number of years ago and underwent loads of tests, all either scratched off or just looked horrid and didn't want to dry, probably due to the fact that the ink needs to be somewhat absorbed, so I ended up etcting into the perspex and rubbing the ink into it. Don't know what ever happened to that piece |

It is possible both ways....a friend of mine from TAFE just got some photograph images printed onto the persexs, you have to take it to a printing place and make sure they do it though. And this was in Cairns so im sure any major city will do it and even some smaller cities like Cairns.
And screenprinting on persex works as well. You have to use the right inks/paints though. We have an artist up here in Cairns who uses it as his method of art making -Samuel Tupou
This is his work in this link

you would have to get the right ink which would be expensive using heat would be the only way to dry the ink...
you may be able to coat the perspex with something so it sticks better |

| I would guess that a process of etching into the surface would be the way to go. Some sort of acid process. Wish I knew how, sorry. Good luck. |

| Photos have been printed on glass for approximately 170 years, so perspex should be no problem. Go ask Stallards or Fletchers or some similar bureau place. |

I know this is a bit late but i have just got a new flatbed printer that has the ability to print to a huge range of substrates including acrylic. Im currently starting a website about acrylic printing which is www.acrylicprinting.com. If any one needs any information feel free to contact me.
Thanks
