I managed to squeeze some painting time in this weekend and finally dusted off a few pandanus reference photo's I've been meaning to use... here's the 'work in progress' so far - still lots of detail to add but I'm happy with the way they're heading

I love the composition of the one on the left. It has great movement and colour contrast.

thanks guys, yep think I'm liking this one. I've added just a little bit more detail and the colours in this photo are better too (although the background is actually little bit lighter)

Love your work Jodi. Really beautiful job with the detail coming along. I really love the one on the left.

H Jodi, nice works. Sorry to make a comparison but they remind me a little of really early Lucien Freud. Nice part of the world you live in as well, especially at this time of year, before the rains start. Cheers

They are great, the detail really makes it. But I like the one on the right too and with some highlights on the edge of the leaves like you have done on the main painting, it would really make it.
