I tried to get young Jenny to put off having her baby unitll the studio was finished and ready but she refused 
Young people these days just have no respect for their elders 
Anyway the scene behind and around me was total chaos with tools ladders and packing boxes everywhere but the light coming in the window looks OK to me.
Please let me know what you think.
Sepia conversion, is the darkening of the edges too much ?

This is what I think, but I don't do it very often so I might be a bit rusty ...
The first shot is an absolute stunner.
Next fave is the one of Jenny by herself.
The darkened edges on the sepia look fine to me. But I prefer the non-sepia shots, love the interplay of whites and skin-tones in that light.
The window is a great success, you must be well pleased. An auspicious beginning, congratulations.
Ladies and gentlemen, a toast! To Dug's new studio! And to all the fine and supafine photos that will emerge from it! And a toast to that baby too, when she emerges! |

I realized the size of the studio when trying to change the roll of background paper.
I did not have to open the door to get the roll onto the pole as I did in my last studios
also I was not standing with my back up against the wall to fit the shot into the frame.
I am going to enjoy working in the space ( roll on getting it heated and clearing it out )
We will have a few drinkies to wet the head of Jenny's baby as well |
