Has anyone else tried this technique? (scanning objects on a flatbed scanner getting a somewhat 3d 'photograph')

I just started experimenting and I am going gaga for it! I havn't been this excited for about 6-8 months now over art (hence I havn't posted for yonks)

Here are some experiments Id love to see what others have tried:

Yeah this is great fun. Man Ray would be into it big time. Our class used this method to try and digitally recreate solarisation techniques. If you're using Photoshop, mess around with your Adjustment Layers and Levels, you get some really interesting effects.
