Illusion bookends.

My wife gave me a broken arrow which has some deep, emotional meaning for her. (God knows what, I didn't ask) and asked me to make it into something for her.
This is what I came up with:



It's made from two books, from which I removed the covers and glued them to a piece of MDF. A piece of aluminium angle is also glued into the bottom. The arrow was then stuck into a hole drilled in the "book"



Although I wouldn't normally deliberately destroy a book, these were Readers Digest Condensed books and therefore didn't count.
