I was going to learn how to paint but Once i get started on a landscape painting I cant wait to put the brush away
....so I started painting those patterns as I do it anyway all the time (i always have pens on me) on a piece of paper.
please tell me what you really think.I am not afraid to hear bad comments.
Do you think anyone would like something like that hanging above the bed or something?

| Hi, I had a look at your video and it's pretty interesting. You're right, it's all about practise, practise practise. So doing 100 paintings is a good way to go about it. I would suggest you have a look into some basic colour theory (complementary colours, tones/tints/colours etc) if you haven't already, as it could help even simpler paintings which use a lot of repetitive pattern to gain a real "wow" factor. I only suggest because it's something I've only really learnt about recently, and it's a huge benefit to know how colours work. Good luck with the remaining 73! |

hey,
I went on Youtube looking for this complementary colours and now I now a little bit more, Thanks so much!
so basically what you are saying is that it would be good to use some blue-ish cololurs to balance it out, is that right? |

| Well you've got about 70 or so paintings to go, so you've got plenty of room for experimentation. Try the same pattern with different colour schemes, red over green, purple over yellow etc, then vice versa. I wish I could get stuck into doing 100 paintings, I seem to have too much homework to really get into personal projects at the moment. |

It's really nice. I love monochrome grey colours. How about trying it in some kind of industrial looking silver / chrome and bright green?
I reckon that would look pretty dam cool |
