| The eyes are beautiful Clive, & they are lovely cats, but I don't think it quite comes up to your usual standard with your dogs, the face seems a bit flat. |

It looks flat because it's pictured from directly in front which foreshortens the nose area. I usually paint my dogs in a three quarter pose to avoid this effect unless they are strongly sidelit.
I didn't really spend much time thinking about it, just painted it for the visual pun. |

I went to the opening of the Mazenod Art Exhibition here in Lesmurdie last night where this painting was hanging. It was sold in the first 10 minutes!
Cute and cuddly strikes again! |
