Melbourne Etching Supplies and Neil Wallace Print Making Supplies are both specialist suppliers for print makers (though they have other things as well). If you are ever in Fitzroy you could visit them, explore, ask about materials. I have found that often the best advice comes from people who work in these places as they tend to be artists themselves and of course know the products. It's also not a hard sell environment so if you just want some advice and don't want to spend up big that's normally fine. Also they will both have flyers on their noticeboards.
As for lessons, facilities etc.
Australia Print Workshop (also in Fitzroy) http://www.australianprintworkshop.com/default.asp
And also the Firestation Print Studio in Armadale. http://firestationprintstudio.blogspot.com/ |
