hi, how are ya's? these are my pen and ink works that i have done over the past couple of months, i am very much a beginner in this and would love some feedback. the one i'd like most feedback for is the one of the building with the pasha bulka in the background. the issue is with it i see is that (besides being very roughly drawn and inked in general) is that the ship looks like its just plonked there and not 'beached'. now in the photo that i used you couldn't see the beach at all, as the club house was covering it. also there is supposed to be waves crashing against the ship too but i extreamly roughed it with those as well. any advice?
ta heaps

Hi Kimmy - I think you've already realised the problem with the ship - more of the hull needs to be hidden or it looks like it's floating in mid air. For a ground ship, it may be more dramatic to have the stern lower and the bow clearly out of the water (or it may just look wrong...). The perspective on the clubhouse in front of it looks funny. I think the roofline needs to be parrallel to the horizon, or it looks like it's leaning over.

I like the fish drawing - nice layout.

Cheers

Grant
