I've just started this painting of Southern Rock Hole using some recent photo's as reference. I'm not sure if it's just the stage I'm at, the colours looking too dark at the moment or if I'm just having a crappy day but I'm really not overly excited about this one. I'll keep on plugging away but I would love some of those really helpful & valued art forum opinions... Confused

It's looking good Jodi.
The colours aren't too dark, anyway you can always lighten them up later.
Keep positive..it's good!

Thanks Mike, I'm a little more positive now that I've just snuck another hours painting in... Maybe it won't be until I start adding the finer details & highlights that'll it'll come alive.

Ok.. now I think I'm getting somewhere!! Just adding a little bit of greenery has made whole lot of difference.

I'm getting closer and liking it a little more now, the bottom left corner is bothering me because I think it looks like it's falling of the canvas, any suggestions???

I know what you mean. They're the same as the rocks around Broome. I have to psych myself up before I start painting them.

No I haven't done any painting for a while now. I'm busy trying to get our house ready for open day next Saturday...(not tomorrow thank God) but it's on my to-do list for sure!

This could be a touchy subject but....
DO YOU BY CHANCE HAVE A MULTIPLE PERSONALITY DISORDER??

When you do get painting again, I definately want to see your version!!

I've been painting more than usual lately, and I'm happy to get out of the office work but signwriting isn't nearly as much fun

Ha!
I've probably mentioned that I'm a signwriter as well...with a brush not vinyl.
I've always equated painting the Bundeena ferry and pier about as much fun as a difficult sign.
I try to avoid painting any man made structure. I find it really boring..but some buyers out there seem to like it.
