Hi technical people. I just switched from explorer to firefox browser. I can't log on with firefox - the site tells me that name/password is incorrect. Any ideas how I could fix this? I tried to generate a new password but my virus checker ate the email (it detected it as a threat).

Hi Marri - email me at grant@gggraphics.com.au with the password you want to use and I'll try resetting it.

Cheers

Not the same topic... but an annoying one...
My friend tried to join up here, and when she went to finalise it, the site asked her for her parents permission... now wont let her join!!
Any suggestions??

It's been so long since I joined up, but from memory there was an "are you over 18?" box.

Try saying YES.

Plan B is to get her to email the account details and I'll activate it manually.

For anyone else encountering this problem. Firefox has an error console in the "tools" menu. Look for error messages in there (clear it first, then do the action, then read the errors). I found this error:

Security Error: Content at http://googleads.g.doubleclick.net/ may not load data from http://www.artforum.com.au/index.php.

I deleted the googleleads cookie and now I can log on. I don't understand it but that's what worked. I don't even know what a googleleads is. I suppose I should have just deleted all cookies in the first instance.

Googleads provide the ads that appear on the Forum (and help Brad pay for it).

I love the way they are 'context-sensitive"... today I'm getting an ad for "Protect your privacy - delete Internet Cookies" !
