This was to b the background for a painting I have been planning for a while. Eveyone took a shine to it as it so I am leaving it. I might do a few similar, that is, big canvases and lots of texture highlighted by the variation in tone created in resin. The more I think about it the more I like the simplicity it.

You are going to hate this... 'Toast'
It is just what springs to mind.... that and 'outback metropolis'... it looks like an out back road from the sky but L.A road stack style...
I am AWFUL with naming paintings... I usually just write any old vague thing down.  |

Yep, me to. I do like "burnouts" though. "toast" - I need to do one with a vague madonna showing through.... I would love to have one named "toast with madonna". |

If you see it full size and rotated, you can see a reclining nude..... so I called it Earth Spirit - Nude (how lame is that?) Damn I am tempted to retrieve it and change the name to burnouts though.... it fits the locale perfectly. i love these suggestions - keep em coming!
I think I will do a series of these - just gesso and resin, with perhaps some collage under the resin. |
