I thought his comment that no matter how arty people pretend to be they really just want a painting to match the couch quite amusing. I think I should go check out Freedom & Ikea LOL.

He said "I thought people cared, but they dont"....just like him. He recons his art sux and it shocks him that people buy it. Obviously he doesn't care either. I couldn't watch enough of the vid to see the studio.

My studio/dining room is BAD BAD BAD..... I have a small path to my drawing table, room fo a swivel chair, my easel,a heater, canvas stretchers in one cupboard, glue and other paraphernalia in the other cupboard....potato/onion boxes, a medicine cabinet, and some pots I have to paint for my market stall, two heavy duty shelves with 2 shelves art magazines...3 shelves of paint, one with an antique singer sewing machine I am restoring... and my cd player and cds.... then the previous life dining table with more paints and water, brushes and half finished giftware items for the market (about 40cm square working space that is clutter free) a couple of spiders, another half shelf, one tieer is frames, another is finished art waiting to be framed... and some green bags.
Had a MAJOR disaster last night... 500ml can of water based acrylic sealer tipped over as I was putting the lid on, the weight of the sealer made the lid pop off, and wowee... sticky goop everywhere on the floor and me.... it did however loosen some previously spilled paint that I couldnt get off before....
Yep.... I am ashamed... but it works for me at the moment, there is no place else to go! Sad

OOH! I do have a huge window in front with a gorgeous view to the Strezlecki ranges and the garden!! Very Happy

Very Happy

I HOPE you wanted the view minus the mess!!
The sheds in the photo are a very old chook farm which has been converted into a shed for the farmer to keep his air plane... I get to watch it take off too.. when he first bought the farm, i used to watch him gather hay in the big round bales, it was amusing because he had no idea what he was doing and would pick them up all wrong, out of about 12 bales, I think about 5 made it to the shed the rest rolled down the hill like scary giant boulders!

I am embarassed about the mess!

Some days definately more day dreaming and gazing take place!!
Especially if I am feeling creatively stiffled... or have commissioned painting that i dont feel like doing!
Other days, the blue wrens and silver eyes are darting about, on occasions the grey fantail pays a visit, as does the grey butcher bird, and thrush. There are kookaburras in the Neighbors gum tree, and rosellas and lorikeets that visit daily in the pear tree over the fence, we have even had a flock of Black cockies visit in the past month and eat some apples of the tree! There are also King parrots and doves... aswell as the pesty birds... but they are nice to watch also!
It is no wonder I paint birds! Very Happy
