Hey we all know that, but there's something else.
My wife bought me an ipod for christmas and it's been sitting in the corner for a while because I didn't know how to use it.
Well now that I've registered it and have access to the itunes shop I am running up a huge bill buying music.
I love this little thing. It has made my life so much better.
I love music and I am more creative when listening to something I really like.
I just need to wait for a month before my next purchase.
Anyone got any good suggestions of what I should look for/buy?
What do you listen to? |

At the moment I am listening to my most recent purchases... Janes Addiction, Placebo, Puddle of mud, Queens of the stone age and some old Nirvana and White stripes cd's I have just put on the mp4...
I am a bit bad with music... it varies alot, and then i tend to play it over and over....
And... Soundgarden, who you are responsible for introducing me to! |

Yes that's the great thing about it, you can buy single songs off an album.
The other thing is when you listen to all of those old songs that were your favorites on the ipod, they sound so good, because the last time you were listening to them they were worn out and played on a turn table. |

Ha Ha! I'm older than you!
####, wait a minute, why am I happy about that....
It is also possible to put your existing CDs, or any other music you downloaded off the net onto the iPod, although Apple would prefer you bought everything off them.
Glad to see Wendy has got into Jane's, great band. Perry Farrell later formed another band: Porno for Pyros, but they weren't as good as Jane's (In my humble opinion..)
Lately, I've got into Sisters of Mercy and VAST.
Cheers

| My birthday is on Monday (58 shhh) and I've ordered my first ipod. I've never been very into music but I bought an i pod clone from China ($6.00) and have enjoyed it a lot. Only trouble it has short battery life and filing is very clunky. On the other hand the ipods are so expensive!! and I can't keep the ear phones in! My husband has one and we are going camping for a fortnight over Easter. Thought we could be silent together. |

31st....at least I wasn't born on April Fool’s day.
Then I would have been an April fool instead of a March fool.
I have downloaded all of the music from my past that makes me feel good
When I first went to Ireland I took an Akai walkman (tape player and listened to Simple Minds "Sparkle in the Rain" over and over There was only three songs on the album that I liked but those old songs bring back great memories. I bought some movie sound tracks "Paris Texas" (Ry Cooder) and Bob Dylan’s "Pat Garret and Billy the Kid"
An old Bad Company song called “I am just a simple Man” which is appropriate for me.
And an old song by a group called Talk Talk “life’s what you make it”
All of this music represents’ some sort of punctuation point in my life and brings back good memories.
But I’m looking for some new stuff as well. |

Happy Birthday to Belle on Monday, and Happy birthday to you a few days after me!
I am having a painting demonstration on my birthday... then I am hoping my family will take me out to dinner... I am 36 this year... nothing really much to celebrate!!
New Music....
I like Empire of the sun.... and MGMT, their music is a bit different, and also a little mainstream...
This link is to Matt Taylor and his band Chain... definately not new... but fantastic!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTvzzgk_jEY
They sing a song about KFC WAY before alot of people knew about them!
Now I have gone and found it on Itunes....
http://itunes.apple.com/au/album/straight-as-a-die/id213611027
I have this on record, but havent been able to find it on CD... now I can download it !! YAY!!!
Thanks Daniel! |

mmmm an interesting question.
I am wondering if it may be ethical to send you some CDs with my MP3 music collection on it so you can listen to the music before deciding if you wanted to buy it ?
I would never encourage illegal file sharing of music but it just may be a way for us to listen to what music others are listening to on their ipods
My music is mostly old school rock jazz or classical I doubt I have anything that is after 1980 |
