Does anyone know any thing about Adelaide or it's diverse population?
Latvia is a bore this time of year. Wine, art, music and line dancing festivals in particular are my type of groovy scene.
I am an avid collector of Religious and spiritual sea turtles from all over the world.

Spamming is very popular in Latvia too, apparently. Religious sea turtles are extremely rare in Adelaide - they tend to be more common in Alice Springs.

Snowtown isn't that far away.
I've heard that there's a lot to do there.

As a matter of fact, Snowtown is a must see place for any art lovers.
It is the hometown of Anna and Marek Heburt, two of the most important, although sadly overlooked by the establishment artists in South Australia.
Nearby is the Hummocks Station, and art gallery full of wonderful art. People who can get over the Snowtown jokes can see in the gallery an impressive Last Supper by Marek Herburt. I am sure that your sense of humour will be stimulated by my last statement.

Why do you think they are the most important?

For one, their technical skills.
Then, it's the subject matter - a very personal representation of the life in their adoptive country.
Then, their story - a story of people working hard at their art with little recognition and acceptance from the establishment.
You have to see their work to understand, and sadly, you have to go to Snowtown to do that, as apart from some works at the Greenhill Galleries (not so representative, I might add), very few works can be seen elsewhere.

I would like to offer a personal apology to the entire population of Snowtown for any hurt our ill-considered discussion has caused. Ken, Doris, it has now come to my attention that Snowtown has a rich cultural heritage. If you could pass that on to Brian when he gets back, I would appreciate it.
