What are you supposed to be convinced of?

That your cubist attempts are more than attempts. It is like trained musicians trying to play gipsy music. There is too much thinking and too little soul. Number 4 is a notable exception, due to the combinations of colours.
I am not an expert in cubism, I just saw not too long ago some great pieces in Paris close-up - I even took some photos and there is a clear difference between the depth in those works and the lack thereof in your works. |

Whatever. I'll take you seriously when you actually know what you're talking about. |

What type of cubism were you looking at...or when were the works created?
There were three different stages in the cubist movement.
The paintings that I've shown here are more akin to synthetic cubism.
And I deliberately painted them that way for two reasons.
One because it suits my style of drawing and two because I thought that I had more of a chance of selling them.
They have all been sold, so I'm happy with my decision. |

I know perfectly well that, we've had a conversation before on why you make the art you're making.
Luckily for the cultural heritage not all the art you're making is mercantile. You may not sell it, but that's because profound art is hard to sell in your market. That does not make it less valuable, on the contrary. |

For the moment.
I'm sure later in life when the monetary constraints on you will ease, you will produce a body of work that will be highly priced, and I will kick myself for not having been able to secure some of your works, but that's life. |

Actually I have to say I think Stefan may not be too wide of the mark there Daniel. Your cubist works, whilst infinitely better than anything I could produce (or Stefan I'll bet), do have the feel of being the works of a student still. You are certainly not as good at cubism as you are at realism! But you don't have to take any notice of my opinion because I know even less about cubism than Stefan does! |

| I like your cubist style works. Your teacher must have explained it really well. Would have liked to be there. Cubism is of course a style with no real rules so your individual interpretation is totally valid. |
