Hi Gary, I got the same email.

I am steering clear - I get these sort of offes all the time and while the first email never mentions cost it is inevitably $500 US or similar. This one though I would stay away from not just for the cost factor but for what would undoubtedly be poor quality (just going by their web site). I have gone into a couple of books due to be publisehd soon but it has been a no cost arrangement - wouldn't have done it for a fee, but I'll be sure to let you al know if anything worthwhile comes out of being in such a publication.

Laughing Laughing I feel so honored Very Happy

I also got one of the best paypal ones I have ever seen too - an absolute work of art. I like it when they put some effort in, but its a real worry because people will fall for it. Liam gets several fraud issues every day from these emails at the NAB.

I Like This One ...and... its not a Scam Shocked
Very serious stuff.
I wonder how they will go with this form of licensing?

Quote:
Dear Sir/Madam:

Would it be possible for us to introduce our new Art License Project?

==
We launched the new idea of art license and system on June 5th 2006.

This license and system are weighted to spread the works all over the world.

Outline:
- 1. Creators register their digital works to linkart.org website.
- 2. Users/Media can download and use the works without cost.
- 3. If the user prefer the specific work and creator, they can easily send a little money to the creator through linkart.org system.

In addition, the license and system has many other functions to spread the works and messages all over the world. (e.g. The license allow for anyone to modify the others work under special rule; Paid user can judge the works fairly without any commercialism and interference, and open the result.)

In the beginning, could you please see the Press Release and FAQ below?
Press Release:
http://www.linkart.org/a5_94_131.html

FAQ: The difference between the local copyright law and linkart.org ODAL.
http://www.linkart.org/a4_39_30.html#921

We are now still updating the system/license hearing someone's idea to be most useful one in the world. If you have any ideas, please send it to us.

If you have any questions (and ideas), please feel free to ask from our Support form.
http://www.linkart.org/rd_support

Art has various ideas for the individual people in the world, which may have roots in their life, personality, and history. Therefore, it may difficult for you to accept this license and system in the beginning. But we hope this license and system will come together with you, and help you surely.

==
We got your email address from your website or your related art organization website listing your email. If you would not like to receive next updated email about linkart.org, please report that with your email address from our support form.

Thank you for your time and courtesy in reading this introduction.

Sincerely,

linkart.org Staff

Hi guys, i think this At Cultura email has reached literally every artist on the internet...even someone like me from Singapore gets one!

On the hindsight it sounds flattering to be recognised as an artist. But like you guys get the "scammy" feel, i too got that and i've written to a couple of Argentine embassies in Indonesia and Australia just to verify their activities. I guess in no time i'll be able to hear from them to see if this At Cultura is a real deal or not.

Will keep u posted Wink
