sorry for the late input to this

surely the council is covered by insurance for water damage which would cover the cost of replacement or restoration of your artwork. I deal with such claims every week.

if you need help finding a painting conservator somewhere in Australia I would be happy to help

kind regards,

What an interesting thread I missed here.

Sorry to hear all your woes teacat.

Fortunately our council doesn't even have the vision to put on an art show, so I don't have to deal with one!

They were very aware of my mental health problems and badgered me until I caved in and accepted a $100 cheque (1/6 th value of the artwork). Feckem! The original was photographed and is on RedBubble, ImageKind and Zazzle in all forms - and I will NEVER EVER deal with CASEY shire again in my life!
I have since changed direction and am now pursuing a photographic career with incredible results:

its become my driving passion and honestly? I can SEE this happening and becoming a successful and booming career - I think its the direction I needed to take:)

And THANK YOU - each and every one of you, I value you all so highly and I just love that we can all support each other in this way
