The first of five German Shepherds to be completed for Christmas.
This is Bonnie, a charming dog with a loppy lug.

Pastel on Mi-Tientes paper.

Thats lovely Clive, sounds like your pretty busy then.
I just recently painted another dog, & I really enjoyed it, it's a great feeling when you capture their personality.

Thank you Wendy, and thank you Pearl. Yes I'm very busy at the moment.
As well as the five Shepherds, I have a Labrador , a husky, a dachshund and a white scruffy dog to finish. All for Christmas.

Not a partridge Wendy, but I'm doing a painting of a wedge tailed eagle in flight against a dramatic sky. Having a few problems with the sky though.

Wendy, The problem is keeping the sky looking dramatic without making it garish.

I find that hard to do ... especially if there are clouds involved!
I find i get my skies either to aqua or to the extreme, to purple.
This is why I tend to do close up studies of birds.... something I need to practice a bit.
Will you be posting photos?

Now that is just so adorable, you can't call him scruffy.
You've done a beautiful job of him Clive, I can see you having a lot of very happy customers this christmas.
