I've been in SA for a few years now but still haven't really been able to pin point which parts of Adelaide and surrounding regions are real 'Arts' Hubs.
I know this state is considered to be very 'arty' so where do all the artists hang out? |

Hi TET,
I think the the artists are spread all over the place and tend not to hang in one area specifically and to be part of art associations and societies. I am also in the Barossa. There was a "art and soul conversations" in Springton. Which was a monthly gathering of artists. The next is August 8, you can contact Rod Mann on 8569 1187 for deails. Visit the galleries and ask if there are any groups. I think I may do that myself soon. There's Hahndorf Academy, The Station Masters in Strath, Victor Harbour arts is pretty far and active.  Perhaps we Barossians should start our own arthouse! |

Thanks for the suggestions Brike. I'm very much considering starting my own art group. I know plenty of artists in the Barossa but they all seem to be on a different wavelength to me. |

Im curious to know this also!
I live near Port Adelaide- which is a bit arty farty seeing as they have country arts down here. Other than that I have yet to find a swarming HUB of artists... in communities...perhaps the hang out is state wide?! |

Well guys
I must admit my research on internet is not looking very good. I found 10 galleries in all Adelaide, and only 2 had web sites. I am bit disappointed.
Or maybe Adelaide lis mystery city. If anyone know contemporary galleries and web site I would appreciate it.
