They were the 3 dark ones in the one photo. She had 2 others as well. The paint application and low major tonal scheme worked brilliantly.

There's a listing of photo's above them. I'm planning on working on a website over Jan/Feb and will let you know how it's going (and probably be asking lots of questions of the computer savvy along the way).

Cheers Jade Smile I can't claim all the credit, a photographer pal suggested I make it.

Jo, glad you're getting a website. Let me know if there's any way I can help.

Hi Jo,
The gallery looks fantastic. Pity newcastle is so far away. Now that you are a gallery owner , you may be able to help with a few questions?
Are all the paintings original paint on canvas or are there some giclees there as well. Just thought i spotted Giclees and am interested to know if the galleries are supporting these now. My current work is a combination of paint, photography and digital, and has to be printed as a giclee. Will a gallery accept an exhibition from an artist based entirely on giclees and what is the publics perception? I find this combination of modalities to be favourite, but I am not sure how accepted it is in the gallery environment these days. I mean, I work with paint, pastels, photography, whatever, but i need to combine and control it all as my means of expression. I am just about ready to invest in my own printers, just because I love the printing, but I guess i also want to know if i approached a gallery like yours, would you even consider taking a look if you were aware that they were printed canvas? Or would I have to do the over painting technique to get it through the door? cheers.

Hi Vans
Even though I'm now a gallery owner you're definitely asking the wrong person - I've only been a gallery owner for just under 2 months Shocked . I really don't know what the other galleries think about prints but I don't have a problem at all. I think good art is good art. In my first exhibition I sold 10 peices of art all up and 6 of them were prints. 5 peices were Velvet's digital prints and 1 a photograph 1/10, so I would have to say the public are definitely open to printed art. I haven't seen prints on canvas yet but if the art was good I wouldn't discount it just because it was a print on canvas.
All the best with your Art Very Happy

Hi Everyone
Here are a few photo's of the current show, sorry I've been so slow with this, very busy. I've now added 'take photo's' to my opening night check list, so hope to be much more up to date in the future.

Hi Jo - the correct code to copy from Photobucket is the "IMG" code.

The Image Shack ones are all coming up as 404's, so I don't know what's going on there - the code as you've got it should work, but there don't seem to be any images at that URL.
Cheers

Grant
