What brand of oil based inks to people use for linocuts. I have used the acrylic ink and have been disappointed. I will be using a baren (not a press) and want to be able to make the ink transparent (or semi). Is this done with some sort of extender? thanks Carol

Steve Gray Joined: 17 Aug 2008 Posts: 1569 Location: Geelong	Posted: Tue Oct 06, 2009 9:28 pm    Post subject: Re - Inks for lino The oil based inks seem to work much better than the acrylic ones... of note however, it can take a few pulls (prints) to get things "warmed up" it seems the lino needs to get used to the idea of having in on it before it prints well. Yep try extender, but there should be some form of clear medium, which should work.
