Anyone got any advice about entering? Anyone used a courier?

i think i might join as well...
one question... does everyone have to sent in the actual piece or is it just the finalist... sounds a bit weird that everyone have to do it... |

| I put one in forgot to photograph it so I will when it gets rejected. Why so cynical. ???I think it is a great drawing but I think they like stuff that pushes the boundaries. Yet I wanted the drawing to be seen. I am hoping my friend Zhen grabs their attention She make some great stuff. In answer to the last ques You post it up they look at everything and then when you get rejected you arrange with the stroreguy or the courier for the return. It is sort of tedious but I respect the fact that they are looking at the work and judging it...(heres hoping) on the merit of the work not the name.me...Having no name in the mainstream, just my own bat cave. Have no experience of being accepted by them to ans you |

Hi there! Yeah I did the same thing, packed up and delivered it without photographing! UGRH!
Out of curiosity, does anyone know what day jugdging finishes and the finalist get a call from the gallery to let them know they are in?
not that I think I am in, but part of me is always hopeful. I hate waiting! |

List is out I am not on it ...Not surprised ...Just another lesson in how to enter competitions,,, Here is the list http://www.artgallery.nsw.gov.au/media/current/dobell_finalists_09
Some familiar names Cannot wait to see what Pam Hallandall's work with the title Tsunami looks like. A few people from Monash are on the list Peter Wegner and Dagmar Cyrulla. Good luck to all |
