Hi everyone, I thought I'd share my latest works created as demonstrations at Original Oz art gallery in Mount Martha today.

For the morning session I moved out of my comfort zone and into a traditional landscape. It's not that I don't enjoy doing landscapes but my main market is coastal work so this was a bit of a departure. It got many of the clients talking as well.

Steady flows the stream

For the afternoon session I moved back to the local coast with a rendition of Mount Martha in winter. I thoroughly enjoyed doing this one as I was working on my new pastel paper which was quite gritty. I found the stronger tooth took more effort to fill but resulted in silky soft transitions in the sky.

Winter magic - Mount Martha

Both are soft pastel on half sheet paper (14" x 24" approx.)

Thanks for looking! All comments welcome

Thanks Winnie! I had heaps of fun doing them. Hopefully as we get closer to Christmas I'll be back there to do it all over again!
