2005 Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize
The 2005 Waterhouse Natural History Art Prize has received 609 entries. Which the judges have now selected from for a short list of 109. These pieces will be exhibited at the South Australian Museum from Saturday 6 August 2005 from which the Waterhouse prize winners will be selected.
Winners are selected in three categories: oil, acrylic or mix; watercolour, pastel, gouache, ink, charcoal, pencil or mix; and sculpture.
The overall winner will receive The Waterhouse Award of $30,000. Each category winner will receive $10,000 with runner up prize monies and a people's choice award also presented. Total prize money is $85,000.
Winners and all short listed entries will be displayed at the South Australian Museum from 6 August until 11 September 2005. All artworks will be for sale.
