Nice work Chris. I love the little creatures but find myself loking for insects in the painting. Ants for instance.

Well done Chris

I love the thread of the snake and the simplicity that comes through as well as the colours

Oh, Chris! As for me - your watercolor painting is wonderful! Are you applying black watercolor stroke too?

Hi everyone

thanks for the comments.

I hope you've been able to view the paintings Wendy

Clive, my wife wants me to put a caterpillar eating one of the leaves but I agree the pic should have other creatures - I'll put some in

Michael, since I took this picture I have made the darks darker and also mabe some of the colours, particually the yellows and reds, more intense - I think it looks a lot better

Hi Tanya, I use watercolour for all the darks in the paintings - indigo blue is a great blue/black, but I use indian ink and a nib pen for the outlines

Hi Chris, love the paintings, they are great!!
It is so nice to see other australian animals, cuddly looking furry ones are nice, but there is so much more out there!!
I particularly enjoy painting blow flies... they have such great colours, even if they are gross!!
Today i painted a blue ringed octopus, I cant do watercolours, but i think it would look great in your style!!
I can only imagine how much nicer this pair would look in person!!

All the best Wendy.
