GLOUCESTER ART TRAIL OCT 3-18
The beautiful small town of Gloucester, just north of Newcastle, will become one giant gallery during the Art Trail commening on the long weekend in October.
Over 30 local artists will display their works in shop windows, restaurants, hotels and cafes in Gloucester and Barrington. The wide range of art being featured includes fine furniture, photography, pottery, painting, sculpture, digital media and floral art. Over the long weekend local artists will also open their studios for you to visit. There will be demonstrations and works for sale at the market on Saturday morning, and a chance to meet the artists.
Artists will also be holding several workshops including painting, printmaking and mixed media during the Art Trail.
Information and maps of the Art Trail will be available from the Visitor Information Centre and the Gloucester Gallery.
If you would like any information on the Gloucester Gallery, the Art Trail or the workshops please contact Leanne Barrett on 0428 508 704 or lbarrett@harboursat.com.au. |

The Art Trail was a big hit this year. The main street looked great with all the art in the windows & we received lots of positive comments from locals who were amazed at the number of artists & the variety & quality of their work. It definitely succeeded in lifting the profile of art in our local community.
The artist stall at the markets also went well & everyone loved watching the demonstrations of our potter Louise. We had over 30 people on the bus tour of the artist's studios on the Saturday afternoon & the workshops all had good roll ups.
Everyone is very happy & looking forward to doing it again next year. |
