I'm not too sure if this is the right place to ask but I'll go along with it...
Would anybody know about artworks themed around drug taking/or drugs in general? I'm doing a research assignment on this particular theme but I'm having some trouble finding artists.

I've heard of "Blotter Art", how people use LSDs (as a form of media) to make the art, except that isn't what I'm looking for (as the artworks themselves aren't based around drugs).

I was thinking something along the lines of 60's drug taking period but eh, anything surrounding drugs will do.

Thanks.

Oh no, not when the person is intoxicated, I'm looking for artworks like Brett Whiteley's "Art, Life and the other thing" - how the bamboo symbolised his battle with Heroin.

Hmm not sure what you are looking for but some of Scott Redford's early work had themes of drug use - from memory it was more about prescription use? I am trying to find some links for you.

EDIT:http://www.artdes.monash.edu.au/globe/srtxt.html

about the 20th question down
on a second reading I don't know if this is such a good suggestion. He is using drugs in his paintings but again it sounds as if he is focusing something else in the context possibly?
