Hi i'm new to this site and have just started painting again have a couple of paintings hanging with family of course but a nice group would certainly give me some confidence and subjects to paint.I'm really interested in Chinese Brush Painting and have bought some of the equipment not sure of the quality but it's very hard to get any info in this area in fact there is none, any ideas anyone.I've taken a look at the gallery there is some really good work on there.Think I'll wait a while to post anything. |

Hi Patsy,
I've seen a few people post this question on here, but no one ever seems to answer, which seems rather surprising, but hopefully you'll have better luck.
I'm afraid I can't help you, as I live out bush. |

| Hi Sunfire ta for replying yes I have spoken to many people interested in this type of work I really want to try it for it's beauty and for the fact that so few brush strokes are used a it would perhaps teach me not to overpaint. Having not painted for 20 odd years i'm a bit too picky.Put a hole in a canvas last night with a palette knife trying to remove a small portion I didn't like, silly but i'll get there. How is your weather we are warming up now going to be 31 tomorrow and as I would ask my friends who live in the country 'did you get enough rain?' |

Hi Patsy, I admire the chinese brush painting too, the simple lines are beautiful, but I haven't got around to trying it yet, one day I will, I keep promising myself . but I haven't been painting long.
The rain here was pretty good this year, but I don't live very far in the bush now, just over the hill actually.
good luck.

Hi Sunfire thanks for your reply I always ask about the rain because I have friends who farm out on the edge of the Eastern Wheatbelt a bit hard out there...just over the hill though is a very nice place to be...I have bought a couple of chinese and japanese brush work books but it will be after xmas before I try. Havn't done a thing yet the tree isn't even up yet..do must start this week..enjoy talking to you |
