Multi plate collograph on paper, 78 cm x 52 cm.

I figure its been too long since I posted work on here. I just finished a series of these and am pretty happy with the last couple of months work.

Nice one!

You know, I like a lot what you did here! It's simple in color and interesting to look at. Where you using a linen to cut the bear?

Hi Katobus, I used three collograph (from 'collage') plates to create this print. The plates are made from thin cardboard coated with multiple layers of shellac to make them a) non porous so the ink doesn't soak into them, and b) to create texture. I have then worked on them as if they were drypoint plates. They are inked and printed in the intaglio method. I've been working and re-working the plates for approximately 3 months to get to this finished state. Happily I've already sold a few and have recovered the costs for my paper already Very Happy
Let me know if you need me to clarify anything for me
Eugene

You've spend quite a lot of time on this work! It's very pleasant when you are able to get your money for materials back and people like your art =)
