| One day, when I'll get rich, I'll buy all these paintings and cut them so that all you can see is the water. |

Thanks for your comments Stefan and Wendy.
I'm pleased with this painting...very laborious and time consuming but I think that this one will pay off. |

It is amazing!
You have no idea how much your paintings take me away!!
I can almost hear the waves lapping and the faint squark of seagulls!!
And cicadas!! |

A series of abstracto-realist pieces like that would no doubt be a hit with a certain segment of the educated population - thanks for illustrating it in my post.
There is so much mistery and interest in that piece- interests diluted by the banality of the landscape.
If you ever decide to do the series, I am happy to receive one for my idea. |

Beautiful painting Daniel. I particulary like the movement of the water in the foreground.

Thanks, Brett - someone needs to have the gutts to tell him these things.
He'll never learn otherwise. |

I've replaced the picture in your profile on my Artists that inspire blog with the picture of the water from this painting - it looks much better, I think.
Regarding putting the boot in... I have no idea what it means, and since I don't have to go to work anymore, I don't have any boots. So, no, I am not putting any boots anywhere. Oooohh. |

Alright! I've looked it up:
put the boot in (British informal)
1. to make a bad situation worse He lost his job and then his wife put the boot in by announcing she was leaving him.
2. to attack someone by kicking them again and again, usually when they are lying on the ground Four lads pushed him down and then put the boot in.
Daniel, I am not kicking anyone. I was just making a comment that Brett also made - that is - your water is simply beautiful. And it looks absolutely great on its own. The rest of the painting, as someone rightly suggested, looks like a photograph. Not an artistic one, I might add.
This, in my view, is constructive critique, not ifs, no boots. |

Not really. Id class it as sarcasim.
I like the attempt at humour at the end though, not ifs, no boots...classic.
Oh and in regards to painting water without any horizon line etc.
I've already done it.
Many times.
It's just that some people are very consrvative and like to purchace paintings that have both water and sky and also enjoy looking at a painting that looks photographic...from a distance.
It's very obvious that it is a painting when viewed at close range.
And to anyone who says that I am some sort of photo realist without any artistic flair...and it's probably been said a few times..I say F_CK OFF!
I paint what and how I paint because I enjoy it.
These paintings of Bundeena are viewed by most people not as staunch and conservative but as historical paintings and they will only increase in value over the years.
They wont end up as some piece of junk bought cheap at some nuckle heads garage sale.

| Sarcasim aside, it is a nice painting and I stand by what I said. Since my sarcasim offends you so much, I will stop commenting on your work altogether. |
