Hi everyone Smile

I am seeking fellow painters/artists, to join me (and so far, one other Art Forum member), in getting together a social painting/drawing/anything goes day/evening. Putting it simply, an informally run art group for social plein air.

I am located near Bargo/Mittagong, my first plein air day will take place in the Wollongong region with a fellow Art Forum member so as you can see a little travelling is no big issue for me, just depends on how far...I will do anything up to an hours drive from The Southern Highlands.

If you are interested in forming a group or a small social gathering to paint...let me know.

Kim.

Sounds like fun, just depends how far I'd have to travel. :P

Hi Renae,

We will be painting mostly in the Wollongong, Southern Highlands and Southern beaches areas.

Hi Miranda*S*, I used to live in Penrose two doors up from the shop/post office.

There are some very good places to paint in the Southern Highlands...no shortage of subject matter there.

I used to visit Glow Worm Glen near Bundanoon and long point lookout near Tallong was another favorite spot that I would escape to. There was always a lyrebird going off there.

Kangaroo Valley would be another good place to check out, with all of the small creeks and rivers there.

I have a friend that owns a property at Meryla.
His land goes right down to Bundanoon Creek Dam, another special place.

Anyway good luck with it all and please post some of your groups work here.
