Looking back over the last six months, this appears to be a warm to hot topic. I do very well out of my aviation art site, where collectors routinely pay over $1000 for a painting. The question is whether I will have similar success with a much broader subject, in this case, Australian landscape.

| Nice work - Just one comment - It is strange that the postage is the same for both Australia and the UK- covered in the price. |

| Oh, and the link on the front page takes you back to... the front page - a bit confusing, I think. |

Thanks Devilbiss and Stefan,
Re the postage, its just easier, I guess, given the potential for variation. I charge everything in US$ on my other sites, which doesn't dissuade Australian buyers, but then 95% is o/s transactions. I will see how things go with the landscape site, and change accordingly. As I intimated, as landscape is such a broad and popular genre, my expectations are low!
Cheers,
Steve |

Why the two separate sites? I understand you are targeting two separate audiences but just seems a little odd. Anyway, your Australian art is lovely and you would have a market to sell. Are you looking at Aussie customers or overseas customers?
What specific feedback were you looking for? |

Had a look at your website. The yellow text on blue background works nicely. The image on the homepage is strong
Maybe you could put your actual email on the homepage too instead of just in the contact us section?
Just a suggestion for lazy people! |

yeah it'd make it waaay easier for spammers to find his email address and add it to the list of addresses to be hammered with spam, just like mine was doing when I had it in plain sight
great idea ! |

| Your work bears a resemblence to that of Arthor Streeton. Has this impressionist influenced/given you inspiration for your own work? |

Hi there,
I am embarrassed about this late reply - my apologies. I was retrenched from my corporate position in July, and found myself painting like hell in my new role as an unplanned full-time artist!
Seeking some like-minded discussion, I just remembered this forum which clearly, I has a brief dalliance a while ago. Hopefully I will be a more regular contributor from now on.
Thanks for your comments, everyone, much appreciated.
Chrissy - two sites because of the different material - I didn't want to be seen as an artist that has span every genre for a buck (even if it is true!)
Kattia - Thank you, I will take that as a major compliment. Yes, Streeton would be my favourite landscape artist, but his was an intimidating talent. These days I think I have absorbed a lot of his style, but possibly as much from the California School.
Cheers,
Steve |

| I wish you good luck in your endeavours. There is no doubt in my mind that apart from the inconvenience of not having a corporate salary, this is a much better place to be. All the best. |
