This is one of my favourite local breaks in the early morning. It breaks into a bay, and is imaginatively called "The Bay". When the conditions are just right (swell size, swell direction, tide, wind, the angle you hold your tongue in your mouth) it's possible to get 200m down the line rides, with enough time to get six to eight big turns in. Of course, it might shut down on you after 20m! I have had waves here where, when I kick out, I look back and can't see where the pack is sitting. That's a long paddle back.
Oil on canvas, 65cm x 160cm or 26" x 64".

Great work Marty.
Nice panoramic perspective showing the length of the wave. |

Hi, Mike, thanks heaps.
Hi, Daniel, thanks, it needs this format to take in the whole scene. _________________ "Hey, your painting looks like what it looks like" Homer Simpson
