Started working on a new series of small artworks. I grew up in rural queensland and so these works are a link where i grew up. Some are based on the outback and others are based on the tropical rainforest. (Rusty iron, beautiful sunsets, desert, rainforests)

1. Sunset over Horizon

2.Outback Landscape

3.Forest Metal

4. Outback Tin Shack

This has been a fun series to work on! I am trying to keep it fairly minimal, working on my gut feelings.

More to come soon!

Hey Gary - they're really cool!

Love the 'Sunset over Horizon' piece. I'm a big fan of distressed metal/wood subjects (in watercolour) what you're doing with them sculpturally works really well.

Cheers

Grant

Fantastic! Particularly 1 and 2. Do you just use a rust converter to stabilise the rust?

Hi, I'm loving these works as well. I grew up out in central Qld so can really identify with some of the colour schemes you've used. I wish I had seen more rainforest greens when I was growing up tho. But these are great, good old rusted iron sheeting, endless uses for it really.

I think these are great.
Well done it looks like you're having a lot of fun.
Do you work intuitively with these ones or do you get a rough idea of what you want to do before you start?
You've been in Norway for a while now do you ever get back to Australia?
