Hey guys, so about 6 weeks ago I found this awesome 354 page book from morning glory and decided to draw in it everyday for a year. So I started on June 1st and its been going good. You can see it on my flickr or read my weekly blogs about it and well there is a problem emerging.

Ill just show you some photos first:

So as you can see the spiral keeps unwinding and the problem with this is, that after one month its starting to bugger up the back cover and previous entries as its always slipping out. So I have been trying to think of some solutions and I tried to bend the spiral and that hasnt worked and I have thought about attaching masking tape to the edges to stop it, but I think it might restrict cover movement and I wont be able to open it past 90 degrees (which will make drawing in it very difficult!)
so i thought, hey! maybe some of the aus art forum can think of a good solution. although I don't want to change books and I think re-wiring it could become a HUGE disaster with over 360 pages!

But I don't know, or if there are any South Australians who have a complex solution I don't mind visiting and seeing if you can help, unless you live out side the Adelaide metro system!

Awaiting you reply

You could find someone with a decent size spiral binder and get it rebound. The plastic binders don't open up like the metal ones. They are both hard on the holes in the paper when used a lot though. It is a quick and cheap process.... even someone like Snap printing would do it pretty cheap I would think.

I think it's great that you found a 365 page drawing book, I might have to track one down for myself. The only solution I can think of is to take it to a printing place as Marri suggested, and see what they might be able to do for you. Or have a whole bunch of those clear plastic sleeve/wallet things in one of those 2 or 4 ring binders so your loose pages can be safe until all 365 pages are completed.
