I must confess to being utterly uneducated on the whole Banksy thing until I picked up this book last week. As I've said elsewhere on this forum, my personal view on graffitti is that it's only art if you do it on your own wall. On anybody else's, it's vandalism.
That said, I wasn't expecting what Banksy does - it's very well executed, brilliantly subversive and hysterically funny. A great book - if like me, you haven't seen his stuff, check out the web site
http://www.banksy.co.uk
This is taken from his 'shop', where he doesn't sell anything.
Cheers

| Having had a jubilantly delinquent teenage life, I tend to keep my personal opinion of graffiti to myself. However, there is definately no denying the subversive humour which lies at the heart of most of the things he does. How many people have had THEIR work in the Louvre? |

| I've always loved Graffiti artists. Please note, I said artists, and not Taggers. Huge difference. And Banksy is a legend ! |
