20 x 24ins Oil on Canvas

Second painting for my series. Here I have come 5 years forward from the 'Don't Eat the Daisies' painting posted earlier. This is about two sisters and their little brother on a holiday to the beach. In those days outer clothes weren't washed after each wear so in order not to get their dresses and aprons too dirty, they carried a stick to lift possible finds and only if worthy of their collection did they bend down to collect the shell. I loved doing this one, does it appeal? Smile

I think it looks fantastic. The soft colours add to its time and appeal. As for the underpants, lol, that has conjured up all kinds of thoughts about your painting process. Wink
