Hi everyone, im new here and to painting. Can I please have some guidance on how to create a luminexcent effect without using luminexcent paint. I have sort of got it by using toning with white, but any other suggestions would be great! Thank you |

I think you need to explain what you are trying to achieve a little better.
I also think the word you are looking for is luminescent?
Are you trying to achieve the effect of a soft glowing light in your painting?
What is the subject of your painting, and what colours are you using?

Thats right luminescent, I type too fast.
Well, I am painting a blue luminescent jelly fish, they type that glows. It's called Aequorea victoria. They have a green flouresent protien that makes them glow.

What blue are you using with your white ?
Try a Phthalo Blue with White , with perhaps a smidgen of Phthalo Green |
