OK here's a bit of help.
Let's look at the painting with all of the colour taken out so you can concentrate on the all important tones.





You'll notice that the birds get a bit lost in amongst the background foliage.
You could darken the birds and lighten up the foliage to create more interest in the subject...which is the birds..preparing to make more little birds.
The colours are very good and the composition is good as well.
I really like this little painting, it's a good one.
