This is a major change for me. I never thought I'd be painting sunsets for one, although this is looking away from the sunset. Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever painted a sky LOL. On my recent trip to Broken Hill I was blown away by the richness of colour at sunset. Not sure if this has legs (to run with), what do you think?

I like this alot, like I want to put my hand through it! I was going to come back to Melb from Coober Pedy via Broken Hill, but changed my mind at the last minute...now I regret it after seeing your painting.

Thanks to both of you. It's a big move away from my usual painting so I am a bit uncertain.

Thanks Marri. I might do a series based on the trip. Not sure I can draw locusts and flies though LOL

Uncertainty is a good thing! It means your breaking new ground. I like the painting a lot.

The painting is great Belle, looks so stark, yet warm with those rich colours of the centre. The distance draws you in. Love it.
